The NAVAID industry has seen many innovations since Nautel built its first solid-state radio beacon transmitter more than 35 years ago. Our engineering department applies its many years of broadcast expertise to keep pace with changes in the industry and in technology, bringing customers the features they demand.

Airports everywhere have benefited from Nautel's advancements in navigational aid technology. Nautel takes a 'whole system' approach, improving availability, performance and reliability. Our designers have evolved the relationship between the non-directional beacon (NDB), antenna tuning unit (ATU) and the antenna itself to create radio beacons dependable enough to be trusted for the most mission-critical applications.
